BC Sets a Date for Family Day.
Congratulations British Columbia you have now caught up to the majority of Canada.
BC Premiere Christy Clark announced today that the province will have it's Family Day on the second Monday of February.
She said they decided on the second Monday after consulting with the public.
Many other provinces have a statutory holiday on the third Monday of February. This includes Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario who celebrate Family Day, Manitoba has the same date but call it Louis Riel Day and don't forget Islander Day celebrated by Prince Edward Island.
