| Baseball Team Forfeits Championship because of a Girl! |
A high school baseball team has decided to forfeit the championship game rather than play against a girl.Our Lady of Sorrows Academy which is a boys only Catholic school refused to play the Mesa Preparatory Academy because of their female second-basema...basewoman, 15-year-old Paige Sultzbach. Our Lady of Sorrows Academy put out a release that stated, "Our school aims to instill in our boys a profound respect for women and girls. Teaching our boys to treat ladies with deference, we choose not to place then in an athletic competition where proper boundaries can only be respected with difficulty." Congratulations to Mesa Prep for their first Arizona Charter Athletic Association championship. But Paige didn't feel like a winner she said, "I felt like any passionate athletic person would feel. I don't want out very first high-school baseball team to win the championship on a forfeit." Regardless of the circumstances they became the champs and went on to an undefeated season.
