One Year Deal!

The Hockey News was one of the first to report that veteran goaltender Martin Brodeur has signed a one-year deal with St. Louis.

Something that was echoed by the Blues' Twitter.

The 42-year-old goaltender become a member of the St. Louis Blues on a one-year deal worth $700,000 including performance bonuses.

The bonuses include $10,000 for every point he earns the team in standings (meaning he will receive $20,000 for every win.) He is also eligible for an extra $125,000 if he's on the Blues' roster on Feb. 1, and an additional $125,000 if he's on NHL roster March 4th, according to Pierre LeBrun.

The future Hall of Famer is a five-time Vezina trohphy winner and needs just 12 wins (or $240,000) to reach 700 career wins.

The closest active goalie behind Brodeur is Florida Panthers' netminder Roberto Luongo who sits 13th on the all-time win list at 380.
